CSRD and ESG topics are a real challenge for the various municipal utilities. In this example, we would like to show you what the requirements look (can look) like in order to prepare a selection of relevant software providers.
Upon request, we will be happy to send you the result of the process: a shortlist of the three best-fitting solutions for the requesting municipal utility.
Initial situation and use case
CSR software urgently needed! As municipal utilities, we—like many other companies—must prepare a CSR report for the 2023 reporting period due to the EU’s CSRD adopted in November. We are still missing the right system for that. Your system!
Our approach is to handle the topic of “sustainability management” in-house. To this end, we recently created a new position that is intended to use software to simplify the reporting process and implement it independently. Important to us are excellent onboarding, good usability, and German-language support. References from the energy/municipal utilities sector are desirable.
There are already a wide variety of systems in-house that aggregate the data. The relevant systems that will then be connected to the CSR software still need to be identified. Important: Our company also has to provide data to the city for the European Energy Award (EEA). Is there an interface for this from the CSR software?
